Water/Wastewater Modeler Job in Sydney, NSW

ABOUT YOU
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with a focus on water resources.
•Proven experience in developing and applying hydraulic and hydrologic models (e.g., EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, MIKE URBAN).
•Strong understanding of water and wastewater collection and distribution systems, stormwater management, and related environmental regulations.
•Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) for spatial data analysis and model input preparation.
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
•Familiarity with data management and analysis techniques.
•Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is necessary.

ABOUT THE ROLE
•Develop and calibrate hydraulic and hydrologic models for water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management systems.
•Analyse modeling results to identify system deficiencies, evaluate design alternatives, and optimise system performance.
•Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate modeling findings and recommendations effectively.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, and other professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
•Stay abreast of the latest advancements in modeling software, techniques, and industry best practices.
•Contribute to the development of modeling standards and guidelines.
