Senior Flood Engineer Job in Sydney, NSW

About You
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7 to 10 years' experience in flood engineering.
• Strong, hands on experience with TUFLOW (essential).
• Exposure to HEC-RAS, MUSIC and/or DRAINS will be highly regarded.
• A track record delivering flood assessments across subdivision, residential, commercial or industrial projects.
• Confident managing your own workload and liaising directly with clients and councils.
• Clear, precise technical report writing skills.

About the Role
• Lead flood studies, flood impact assessments and hydraulic modelling for a mix of subdivision, residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Build and refine hydrologic and hydraulic models in TUFLOW.
• Interpret flood behaviour and translate it into practical, buildable design solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports to support development approvals.
• Liaise with councils, authorities and clients as the technical point of contact on your projects.
• Work alongside civil and structural teams to keep flood considerations integrated from concept through to delivery.
• Support and mentor junior engineers coming through the flood team.
