Senior Flood Engineer Job in Northern, NSW

About You
• A degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Solid hands-on modelling experience with TUFLOW and DRAINS, plus QGIS.
• Good working knowledge of the NSW Floodplain Development Manual and ARR 2019.
• CPEng, or actively working towards it.
• Strong report writing skills and the confidence to present to councils and clients.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in mentoring others.

About the Role
• Run flood studies, flood impact assessments and floodplain risk management studies across land development, built form and road projects.
• Lead the flood design package on urban renewal and rezoning projects, including building and running the hydrologic and hydraulic models.
• Work directly with councils, authorities and clients on flood planning matters.
• Prepare clear, defensible technical reports and advise the wider project team.
• Contribute to stormwater and broader civil design work.
• Mentor junior engineers and help build out the flood team.
