Senior Civil Design Engineer Job in Sydney, NSW

About You
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years' relevant industry experience.
• Strong civil engineering background, ideally including time with a civil contractor.
• Sound understanding of construction industry practices, contract administration and relevant legislation.
• Working knowledge of 12D and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering to deadline.

About the Role
• Provide technical leadership and direction across a range of civil engineering projects.
• Lead project planning, execution and delivery to agreed budget, program and quality standards.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, invoicing and contract variations.
• Liaise with authorities and service providers to secure approvals.
• Act as Contract Superintendent, Principal's Representative and Contract Administrator.
• Prepare tender documentation, technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and report on progress and performance.
• Chair project meetings and manage ongoing budget and program updates.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development, including proposals and client engagement.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
