Senior Civil Design Engineer - Land Development Job in Sydney, NSW

About You
We're seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer with solid experience in civil design.

•You'll need a minimum of 5-8 years of local experience in civil design, ideally gained within a Sydney consultancy.
•A relevant degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
•Proficiency in Civil 3D is a must, and experience with MUSIC and DRAINS for calculations is highly advantageous.
•Your project experience should ideally be in industrial land development, specifically civil design engineering for warehousing, as well as broader land development and civil works for building projects.
•Demonstrated ability to design roads, stormwater/drainage, bulk earthworks, pavements, carparks, and sections is crucial.
•You should be well-organised with strong technical skills and possess A-grade communication skills, both written and verbal.
•The ability to work independently, manage projects with minimal guidance, and collaborate effectively within a team is expected.
•A strong passion for the design aspects of civil engineering is key.
•You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

About the Role
In this role, you'll be developing detailed civil designs for a variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on industrial and government infrastructure.

•You'll utilise Civil 3D, MUSIC, and DRAINS to create accurate and efficient design models and drawings.
•Key project areas will include stormwater management, drainage, flood planning, bulk earthworks, OSD (On-Site Detention), roads, and grading designs.
•You'll prepare comprehensive design documentation, including plans, profiles, and sections.
•Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders is a core part of the role.
•You'll ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
•This role will also involve contributing to problem-solving and innovative design solutions.
•You'll work on projects for significant clients in Australia's retail and industrial sectors.
•There will be opportunities for training towards a client-facing role.
