Flood Engineer Job in Sydney, NSW

About You
You will bring:
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 7–10 years' experience in flood engineering or water resources engineering.
• Strong experience using TUFLOW (essential).
• Experience with HEC-RAS, MUSIC and/or DRAINS will be highly regarded.
• Proven experience delivering flood assessments for subdivision, residential, commercial or industrial projects.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Rainfall & Runoff (ARR) and relevant NSW planning requirements.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage projects, build client relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
In this role, you will:
• Deliver flood studies, flood impact assessments and hydraulic modelling projects.
• Develop and review hydrologic and hydraulic models using TUFLOW.
• Assess flood behaviour and provide practical solutions for development projects.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation for approvals.
• Work closely with clients, councils and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with civil engineering teams throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members where required.
