Commercial Manager Job in Sydney, NSW

About You
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar
• Solid experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Contracts Manager on civil projects
• Strong understanding of Australian contracts, claims and cost control
• Confident managing subcontractors, variations and commercial risk
• Clear communicator with strong written and negotiation skills
• Comfortable dealing with councils and formal correspondence

About the Role
• Take ownership of all commercial and contractual matters on the project - both upstream and downstream
• Manage procurement, subcontract agreements and ongoing contract administration
• Track costs, forecasts, claims and variations throughout delivery
• Partner with the Project Manager to maintain commercial performance
• Prepare and manage written correspondence with councils and stakeholders
• Provide regular, accurate commercial reporting to senior management
