Civil Designer Job in Sydney, NSW

We are working with a national civil engineering consultancy that’s expanding their civil design team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Designer who wants to take ownership of projects and work across a variety of urban development and infrastructure jobs.

The role

You’ll be responsible for managing the full design process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Produce detailed design drawings and documentation using 12D and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with clients, councils, and service authorities to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Apply safety in design principles throughout the process.
• Be involved in roads, stormwater/drainage, bulk earthworks, and other civil design packages.

About you:
• 5–7 years’ experience in civil design, ideally in land development and infrastructure projects
• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Strong background in roads, drainage, and earthworks design
• Proficiency with 12D, AutoCAD, and DRAINS
• Sound understanding of Australian Standards, council design requirements, and authority approvals
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
