Civil Design Engineer Job in Newcastle & Hunter

About You
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3-8 years' experience in civil design, ideally within a consultancy.
• Strong working knowledge of 12d Model and/or Civil 3D.
• Experience with DRAINS or similar stormwater modelling software will be highly regarded.
• Design experience across roads, stormwater, water and sewer reticulation, and bulk earthworks.
• Familiarity with Hunter Water requirements and local council design specifications.
• Clear technical writing skills and the confidence to deal directly with clients and authorities.
• Working towards or holding CPEng or NER registration (desirable).

About the Role
• Prepare civil designs for residential subdivision, commercial and industrial developments.
• Produce road, stormwater, earthworks and utility designs and drawings.
• Prepare stormwater management plans and supporting reports for DA and construction certificate approvals.
• Liaise with councils, Hunter Water and other authorities to obtain approvals.
• Coordinate with surveyors, planners and other consultants throughout project delivery.
• Provide design support during construction, including responding to RFIs and attending site.
• Mentor graduate engineers and drafters where required.
